The Prince of Wales visits the Moorland Centre

10th July 2007

The Prince of Wales visited the Moorland Centre at Edale on Friday 29th of
June to learn how the moors managed for grouse shooting can help with flood
alleviation. He met with key members of the Moorland Association who have
restored vast areas of heather and moorland gamekeeper Fred Mitchinson. Fred
plays the star role in a specially commissioned film called 'The Keeper'
that is shown to all visitors to the centre, including the Prince.
